Enter Ihram at the Right Place
Miqat is the prescribed boundary at which you must enter the state of Ihram before proceeding toward Makkah. Crossing without Ihram may require compensation.
What is Miqat?
Miqat is the designated geographical boundary that pilgrims must respect before entering the state of Ihram. Entering Ihram at the proper place is a condition for the validity of Umrah and Hajj.
Nusuk Compliance
Entering Makkah without Ihram while intending Umrah is not permitted and may require a sacrifice (dam) as compensation. PilgrimIQ helps you prepare before reaching the boundary.
What If You Miss Miqat?
If you realize immediately:
- Return to the Miqat if possible
- Enter Ihram immediately at the point of realization
- Compensation may apply
If you discovered later:
- Seek guidance from a trusted scholar
- Compensation (dam) may be required
- Mercy applies for genuine mistakes
